Every so often I hear someone get all worked up over immigration and the economy. That illegal immigrants have taken all the jobs and that by booting our neighbors to the south from the country will somehow return to the american dream we enjoyed after World War II. I think this cartoon accurately sums how I feel about this sentiment.

Suggestion: anyone interested in reclaiming America’s jobs from illegal immigrants should have to pick a job for reclamation and then do it for a year. I predict that would put an end to that discussion . . .
I see it the same way. One sad thing is that if middle class workers were to take up jobs held by illegal or legal immigrants… the awful conditions of such work would likely get much publicity, and reform would finally be in the horizon.
